Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the MAISON Chic Stays website, services, or property management agreements, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, property owners, and guests.

Property Management Services

MAISON Chic Stays provides boutique short-stay property management services across Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Florida, USA. Our services include:

  • Short-term rental setup and listing creation
  • Professional photography and property styling
  • 24/7 guest communication and support
  • Cleaning coordination and quality control
  • Dynamic pricing optimization
  • Maintenance coordination and repairs
  • Monthly performance reporting and payouts

Owner Agreement

Property owners entering into a management agreement with MAISON Chic Stays agree to:

  • Provide accurate property information and legal ownership documentation
  • Ensure the property meets all local short-term rental regulations and safety requirements
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for the property
  • Allow reasonable access for maintenance, cleaning, and guest check-ins
  • Pay the agreed management fee based on rental revenue
  • Provide at least 30 days written notice for termination of agreement

Fees & Payments

Our management fee is calculated as a percentage of gross rental revenue, typically 15% for standard management. Additional fees may apply for premium services, add-ons, or one-time setup costs. All fees are transparent and disclosed in the management agreement. Payouts are processed monthly with detailed statements showing all income and expenses.

Booking & Cancellation Policies

Guest booking and cancellation policies vary by property and are clearly stated on each listing. Standard policies include:

  • Minimum stay requirements (typically 2-7 nights)
  • Cancellation windows (flexible, moderate, or strict based on property)
  • Security deposit requirements for certain properties
  • Check-in/check-out times and procedures

Property owners may block up to 60 days per year for personal use at no additional cost.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests booking through MAISON Chic Stays agree to:

  • Provide accurate identification and contact information
  • Respect property rules, noise ordinances, and occupancy limits
  • Report any damages or maintenance issues immediately
  • Leave the property in reasonable condition at check-out
  • Not host parties or events without prior written approval
  • Comply with all local laws and regulations

Prohibited Activities

Users of our website and services may not:

  • Use our services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to bypass or circumvent our booking or payment systems
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against our staff or guests
  • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
  • Interfere with the security or performance of our website

Liability & Insurance

MAISON Chic Stays carries comprehensive liability and property protection insurance. However, property owners are strongly encouraged to maintain their own insurance policies. We are not responsible for:

  • Losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Guest behavior or actions of third-party service providers
  • Pre-existing property conditions or structural issues

Our total liability is limited to the management fees paid during the preceding 12 months.

Intellectual Property

All content on the MAISON Chic Stays website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of MAISON Chic Stays and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms & Conditions or other agreements. Upon termination, your right to use our services will cease immediately. Property management agreements require 30 days written notice for termination.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium for European operations and the laws of Florida, USA for US operations, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Brussels, Belgium or Miami, Florida, depending on the property location.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. We will notify property owners of material changes via email. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
